Position Title: Process Developer

Process Developer
We are a fast-growing hair and beauty wholesale company with our own private label manufactured overseas. We have approximately 700 products carried under 3 brands with over 500 formulations. We are in need of a Process Development Engineer who can future proof our business. Currently new product development (design, formulation & sales) has stagnated. Also, lead time from order placement, manufacturing to warehouse delivery is a concern. Our ideal candidate will design, develop test and evaluate integrated systems for managing both the current foreign industrial production processes as well as evaluation and improvement of our domestic human work factors (labor costs), quality control, inventory control and distribution logistics. To help cure these business challenges, we also need new insight on feasibility of domestic production along with the industrial engineering needs of a domestic production facility. 5-7 days of international travel quarterly to overseas factories to observe production of new products.
The other requirements are as follows:
*Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
*Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
*Work with logistics to schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities, and maintenance requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
